Lowell Dunn

Lowell Dunn, 79, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Middletown on March 20, 1937 to parents Forrest Wayne and Anza Lee (Hayes) Dunn.

Lowell worked in the energy department of Armco Steel Corp for 30 years. He was a member of Middletown Church of Christ, was founder and troop leader for Boy Scout Troop #93, and also started the Miami Valley Woodcarver's Association and was very active with that organization.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley A. (Moore) Dunn; son, Tom Dunn; daughter, Shari McKenzie; brother, Wayne Dunn; and two grandchildren, Brandon Quillen & Noah Pless.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Dunn; parents; brother, John Dunn; and sister, Lucille McCumber.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor David Stidham officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
