Ada J. Durham, 93, of Jackson, Tennessee, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Illinois on January 18, 1919 to parents Eugene and Molly (Bingham) Poynter.
Ada worked as a psychiatric aide at the Dayton State Hospital. She was a member of Browns United Methodist Church in Jackson, Tennessee.
Mrs. Durham is survived by her daughters, Sandra Fawcett & Diana (Roy) Williamson; brothers, Edward Poynter, Gene Poynter & Jack (Pernie) Poynter; sisters, Disa Back, Frances (James) McDaniel, Glenda Green & Loretta (James) Horn; grandchildren, Vance (Amy) Fawcett, Nanette (Warren) Williams, Rodney Williamson, Kevin Williamson, Chad (Cassie) Williamson, Devin (Brittany) Durham & Joe Durham; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Durham in 1974; son, George W. Durham Jr. in 2009; parents; brother, Irsley Poynter; & sister, Marie Poynter.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend David Hilton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 1914 First Ave., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
