Aida Amado Mangabat, 87, of Monroe, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at home. She was born in Zamboanga, Philippines on November 23, 1929 to parents Lupo and Felisa Amado.
Aida had a Master’s Degree in Education and was the Dean of the College of Physical Education at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, retiring after 40 years.
Mrs. Mangabat is survived by her four daughters (and sons-in-law), Letty (Sonny) Medina, Mel (Bernie) Acosta, Angie (Manuel) Lagayan & Lourdes (Andy) Valdez; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Mangabat and her parents.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 3023 N. Union Rd., Franklin with Reverend Dr. Max Fernandez officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown and one hour prior to the service from 1:30 - 2:30 pm at the church.
