Alfred W. “Al” Bradshaw, 70, of Middletown, died Saturday January 14, 2006, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. He was born in Middletown, on October 12, 1935 to parents Albert Henry and Verna (Haigh) Bradshaw.
Al served in the United States Air Force for six and a half years, and was stationed in Iceland with the Air Defense Force. Following that he served in the Air Force reserves for three and a half years. After the service he was employed by the same company in three different areas, Converters Gravure in Middletown, Keystone Gravure in Pennsylvania, and Badger Gravure in Wisconsin.
Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his daughter, Regina (John) Sens of Middletown; one son, Alfred “Butch” (Lisa) Bradshaw Jr. of Middletown; three sisters, Margaret (Frank) Gedrites of Dayton, Alberta Nelson Beckett of Middletown, and Barbara Brush of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Alice Bradshaw of Middletown; four grandchilden, Lyndsey, Stephanie, Luke, and Colt; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Webster Bradshaw and John Bradshaw; and sisters, Georgia Brandenburg and Lyndsey Cress.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend David Kepple officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors presented by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
