Alma R. Roark, 86, of Middletown, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on February 23, 1930 to parents Lafe and Mayme (Soule) Highley.
Alma was a member of Posttown First Church of God where she participated with the Ladies Missionary and helped in the food pantry. She had worked for Monsanto.
Mrs. Roark is survived by her sons, Dan (Diane) Roark & James (Ruth) Roark; daughter, Kathy (Butch) South; 11 grandchildren and many great & great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Roark in 1994; son, Terry Roark in 2014; parents; brothers, Charles Highley, George Highley, Millard Highley, Wilbur Highley; sisters, Ethel Proctor, Betty Hill, Dorothy Richeson & Bethel Lykins; and half-sister, Margaret Convis.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Chris King and Jim Dalton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, OH 45005.
