Alvin H. Niemer Md

Alvin H. Niemer MD, 82, of Liberty Township, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Cincinnati on July 22, 1933 to parents Francis and Alvina (Larbus) Niemer.

Dr. Niemer graduated from Covington Latin High School in 1949 and went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1953 then University of Louisville Medical School in 1965. He did his Dermatology Residency at the University of Michigan. He served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. Dr. Niemer was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Dr. Niemer is survived by his wife, Jean (Egan) Niemer; children, Mark (Yasyn Lee) Niemer, Paul (Kimberly) Niemer, Laura (Steven Nash) Niemer & Joseph (Lori) Niemer; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Brooke, Joseph, Benjamin, Troy, Jean, Luke, Julie, Isabel & Olivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters & brothers, Mary Veeneman, Bernard Niemer, Florence Wirth & Frank "Whitey" Niemer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father Stephen Lattner, OSB as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society, c/o Holy Family Parish, 201 Clark Street, Middletown, Ohio 45042.
