Amy Marie (Sorrell) Lawson

Amy Marie (Sorrell) Lawson, 99, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at West Chester Hospital. She was born in Middletown on January 17, 1925 to parents, Troy and Anna Elizabeth (Cecil) Sorrell.

Amy had a heart of gold and devoted her time to making a loving home for her family. She was a member of Towne Church.

Amy is survived by her children, Barbara Sweeney, Wanda Kennedy, Mike Lawson, David (Kim) Lawson & Jeanie Rolsin; brother, Harley Sorrell; sisters, Ruby Patrick, Juanita Howard, Shirley Roberts & Ruth Ann Lovelace; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Jean Sorrell & Rita Helton; and brothers, Herschel Sorrell, Earl Sorrell, Carl Sorrell & Winford Sorrell.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Jerry Minor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
