Angela Burgemeir

Angela “Angie” Burgemeir, 86, of Middletown, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. She was born in Middletown on November 6, 1919 to Charles and Ellen (Dineen) Kramer.

Angie was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, where she sang in the choir. With the singing voice of an angel, she sang for weddings, funerals, and some public functions. Music was her life. She also volunteered at both church and at Fenwick, where she was active with PTA, and she volunteered for Middletown Regional Hospital Meals On Wheels from 1986 - 2002. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins at the holidays. She liked to dance, camp, and travel both locally and abroad. She was a member of 4th degree Knights of Columbus Auxiliary from 1968 - 2002.

Angela is survived by, her husband of 61 years, Carl Burgemeir of Middletown; daughter, Jeanne Anne (James) Gray of Springfield; son, James (Patricia) Burgemeir of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Douglas (Tracy) Gray, Bryan (Debra) Gray, Natalie (Mark) Riegel, Jimmy (Jodie) Burgemeir, Ron (Nikki) Burgemeir, Jeffery Burgemeir, and Christine (Ryan) Ross; thirteen great grandchildren, Seth, Canaan, Elijah, & Adaliah Gray, Ryan Goldstein, Nikalos & Emileigh Gray, Chloee Riegel, and Ashley, Matthew, Eli, Casey, & Corey Burgemeir. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joy – she loved her babies. She is also survived by one niece and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and five sisters, Sabina Gardner, Mildred Pratt, Marie Hohl, Maureen Kelley, and Martha Little.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to Mass from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
