Anna "Anita" Gose

Anna "Anita" (Adams) Gose, 94, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Cass County, Indiana on June 26, 1922 to parents Leonard and Grace (Stamper) Adams.

Anita's family moved to Middletown in 1943 after several years in Kentucky, where she graduated from Menifee County High School. She worked at Wright-Patterson AFB prior to her marriage. She married Donald M. Gose, Attorney and past City Commissioner of Middletown, on June 16, 1950 and celebrated 56 years together before his death in 2006. They were members of the Breiel Blvd. Church of God. They traveled extensively throughout the US, as well as Europe and the Hawaiian Islands, with their daughters Deborah, Lisa & Mary. Anita was an especially sweet lady with a soft easy way, who spent her life caring for family & friends with a beautiful smile for everyone and was nicknamed the "Song Bird of Indiana" by her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Robert Adams, Leonard Adams Jr. & Roderick Adams; and five sisters, Marie Little, Mary Grim, Ruby DeLisle, Elizabeth Ewen & Wilma Edwards.

She is survived by her daughters; sister, Bonnie (Ray) Rush of Logansport, Indiana; sister-in-law, Norma Adams; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Wes Duff officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
