Anna Josephine Janisch, 94, of Middletown, died on Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 18, 1909 to John and Antonia (Prusynski) Skomer.
Anna is survived by one daughter: Judith (Michael) Kelley of Middletown, OH; five granddaughters, Anne Scott, Sheila Rivizzino, Susan (Jerry) Chambers, Katherine (Shaun) Oveson, and Mary (Bryan) Bowman; one grandson, Michael C. Kelley; and five great grandchildren, S.R.A. Mark Smith USAF, Mia Rivizzino, Colin & Ian Chambers, and Alex Oveson.
She was preceded in death by her husband John James Janisch; her parents; an infant son, John Janisch; an infant daughter, Mary Janisch; brothers, Joseph & Harry Skummer, and sisters, Mae Alworth, Harriett Jerome, Agnes Luczak, and Frances Jacobeson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday November 4, 2003 at 10 am at All Saints Polish National Catholic Church, in Chicago, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Stermer Funeral Home, 3655 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago, Illinois from 5 to 8 pm on Monday November 3. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Chicago.
