Anna Marie Henning, 99, of Trenton, went to Heaven Saturday, August 20, 2011, she had been a resident of Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village in Monroe, Ohio. She was born in Tarrytown, New York on July 19, 1912 to parents Joseph Patrick and Anna (Sliva) Slimak, originally from Czechoslovakia.
Mrs. Henning is survived by her granddaughter, Cindy (Larry) King; grandsons, Tim Shumate and Jeff Shumate; great grandchildren, Krista, Erica and Anna King; sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Joseph) Henning and Mary (Melvin) Henning, both of Middletown and Winnie (Joe) Slimak in Salem, Oregon; first cousin, Ann Sprinkle (resident of Garden Manor); along with many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Henry Henning; daughter, Margaret (James) Shumate; sister, Mary Daughetee; baby sister, Catherine; brothers, Frank, Joe & John Slimak; sisters-in-law, Ruth (Frank) Slimak, Violet (John) Slimak, Norma (Buddy) Kramer; and brothers-in-law, Ike, Melvin, William, Joseph Henning, baby George and Buddy Kramer.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the family in care of Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45044
