Millan, the president of First National Bank, to become a freelance court reporter, retiring in 1987 to take care of her mother. She loved classical music and played violin in a local quartet. Anne enjoyed walking her dogs, Sugar, Samantha & Cindy, with her husband and her sister, Linda, at Smith Park & at Germantown Dam. She enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains and collected Hummels. Unlike most elderly folks who like to be home before dark, Anne had no curfew. In her later years she became obsessed with Gold Star Hot Dogs.
Mrs. Crout is survived by her sister, Linda Longman; sister-in-law, Mary Downs; numerous nieces & nephews; and special neighbors, Toni & Vern Brumley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Eddie” Crout; parents; and brother, Thomas Lester McGill Jr.
