Anthony "Tony" Shepherd

Anthony "Tony" Shepherd, 71, of Wayne Township, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Middletown on April 16, 1952 to parents, Goble & Gracie (Combs) Shepherd, both of who preceded him in death.

Tony was a strong willed, self-made man who co-founded S & S Construction & Pools. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He enjoyed hot rods and being outdoors, whether fishing or riding ATV's. 

Tony is survived by his children, Adam (Shawna) Shepherd, Aaron (Dalana) Shepherd & Amanda (Chad) Caudill; their mother, Cathy (Dave) Jenkins; his devoted significant other, Tonya Johnson & her family; brothers, Phil Shepherd & Tim (Betty) Shepherd; sisters, Della (Charlie) Tucker, Gretta (Ron) McWhorter, Leatha (Mike) Chaney & Marsha (Kevin) Whitt; grandchildren, Noelle Shepherd, Taylor Shannon, Ashley Shannon, Alie Shepherd, Ryland Caudill, Raegan Caudill, Paisley Shepherd & Easton Shepherd; great grandchild, Pressley Alexander; and many nieces & nephews. 

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Barry Shafer officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment  will be at Fairview Cemetery with military honors.
