Antoinette R. Capozzi, 88, of Middletown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Bisaccia, Avelino, Italy on September 28, 1921 to parents Sam and Concetta Maria (Piccolella) Procaccino.
Antoinette was a member of Holy Family Parish and was active with the Middletown tennis community. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. Her family was her world and her selfless dedication to all of her "family" was her joy. She loved every minute of being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She married Joseph "Joe" Capozzi and they had 54 wonderful years together before he passed away in 2001. They have three daughters, Joan Harrison, Connie (Dennis) Brown and Sandi (Dr. Dennis) Wulfeck. She is also survived by her brother, Tony Procaccino; sister, Mary Bell; five grandchildren, Tracey (Scott) Lawson, Nikki (David Sallee) Harrison, Matt (Susan Newland) Harrison, Andrew and Alex Wulfeck; four great grandchildren, Brittany Lawson, Dominic and Peighton Sallee and Gabrielle Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Procaccino.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Monsignor Paul Metzger as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
