Arline (Williamson) Brate, 90, of Monroe, died Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus. She was born in Dayton, on February 19, 1917 to parents Elsworth and Ada (Stokes) Williamson.
Mrs. Brate worked as a pre-school teacher at Middletown Christian School for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She attended Grace Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Arline enjoyed cooking, shopping, & attending church. She loved people, especially her grandchildren.
Arline is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Ron) Stewart; son, John (Beverly) Brate; sister, Louise Jones; brother; Jack (Mildred) Williamson; eight grandchildren, Debbie (Alan) Reindel, John (Tara) Brate III, Ronnie (Cheryl) Stewart, Jeff (Sara) Stewart, James (Dawn) Neely, Margaret LaTour, Tom (Lisa) Neely, and John (Kathy) Neely; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brate; her parents; a daughter, Marcia Neely; brothers, Al Williamson and Harold Williamson; and sisters, Iola Williamson and Lucille Barker.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 2:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Pastor Roger Green officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Garden.
