Arthur E. “Ed” Trinkle, 83, of Middletown, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born February 4, 1922 in LaCygne, Kansas to parents Arthur and Luetta (Bigham) Trinkle.
Ed was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army for 4 years and retired from Armco Steel Corporation after 37 years. He was a member of Lincoln Masonic Lodge #693 of Middletown, York Rite Masonic Bodies of Middletown, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine of Dayton, and Middletown Antioch Shrine Club. He was a 50 year member of First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Trinkle is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lorena Trinkle of Middletown; a son, Mark (Kim) Trinkle of Liberty Township; two daughters, Sharon K. (Ray) Farmen of Lincoln, NE and Robyn (Dale) Hocz of Middletown; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marcia Trinkle; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 13, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend David Chivington officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 5 PM at the funeral home, with masonic services conducted by Lincoln Lodge #693 at 3:30 PM . Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors presented by American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
