Arzella Iona Barber

Arzella Iona (Lawson) Barber, 92, of Fairfield Township, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on January 23, 1917 to parents Clay and Caylie (Dalton) Lawson.

Mrs. Barber was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. She read her Bible daily and prayed diligently for those in need of prayer.

Mrs. Barber is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (John) Centers; sons, Ronald James (Sandra Jean) Madden and Michael (Carol) Barber; brother, Clay Anthony Lawson; six grandchildren, Melissa McReynolds, Mark Madden, Lisa McKinney, Arzella Renee Selby, Scott Barber and Amy Cameron; and twelve great grandchildren, Zack McKinney, Ella McKinney, Kaelah Selby, Audri Selby, TJ Selby, Kevin Madden, Ashley Madden, Seth White, Blake White, Jesse McReynolds, Aiden Cameron and Gabrielle Barber.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Barber in 2000; her parents; and five sisters and two brothers, Ina Hamilton, Dail Strong, Pearl Arrowood, Ella Combs, Audry Cockerham, Jack Lawson and Greyson Lawson.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Ron Medley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
