Audrey E. Jewell

Audrey E. Jewell, 89, of Monroe, died Sunday, November 20, 2005, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, on March 25, 1916 to parents James E. and Ethel K. (Upton) Jewell.

Audrey worked as a secretary for Black Clawson for 40 years, retiring in 1981. She was a volunteer at Middletown Regional Hospital, served on the board of trustees for Doty House. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and Faith United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Middletown Fine Arts and later in life became an accomplished artist.

Audrey is survived by her sister, Dorothy Reed of Middletown; a brother, James Jewell of Butler, PA; nephews and nieces, Stanley (Georgia) Reed, Jr. of Centerville, James (Sabine) Reed of Hamilton, John (Sherry) Reed of Ft. Pierce, FL, Katherine Jewell of Borea, OH, Margaret Labaugh of Livingston, MT, and Daniel Jewell of Butler, PA; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 25, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend David Young officiating. Visitation will be Friday, prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the church.
