Barbara A. Crist

Barbara A. Crist, 79, of Monroe, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Middletown on January 17, 1933 to parents Andrew T. and Anna M. (Waczula) Chupka.

Barbara worked as an administrative assistant for Floturn Inc. for 22 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

Mrs. Crist is survived by her husband, James D. Crist Sr.; sons, James D. (Beth) Crist & Thomas (Donna) Crist; daughters, Karen Ann Crist & Susan Crist, Elizabeth (Jeff) Ferrara; brothers, Andrew (Helen) Chupka & Richard (Mary) Chupka; sisters, Margaret Mary Hasselbach & Carol (Ed) Lyons; seven grandchildren, James D. Crist III, Joe Crist, Ben Crist, Sam Crist, Katie Crist, Gabby Ferrara & Rachel Ferrara; and one great grandchild, Ella Catherine Crist.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe with Father Ed Pratt as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
