Barbara A. Gaston

Barbara A. Gaston, 68, of Middletown, died Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on June 10, 1942 to parents Michael Steven and Christine Ann (Kiss) Kovach.

Barbara worked in dietary services at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, retiring in 2009. She was a member of Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church.

Mrs. Gaston is survived by her children, David A. (Beth) Gaston Jr., Steven L. (Kristi) Gaston, Gregory S. (Maureen) Gaston, Diana M. (Robin) Shope, Jeffrey A. (Sharon) Gaston, Karen L. (Ed) Keith and Kathleen A. (Fred) Gaston; brothers, Charles (Linda) Kovach and Ed (Judy) Kovach; sisters-in-law, Patricia Lorenz, Geraldine Beckman and Sharon Gaston; brothers-in-law, Frank (Janice) Gaston, Rick (Janet) Gaston and Raymond (Pat) Gaston; and grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Caroline, Cindy, Stephanie, Katelyn, Brian, Maria, & Kevin Gaston, Audrey Shope, MacKenzie, A.J. & Macy Keith, Evan & Maleah Baggett.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, David A. Gaston Sr. in 2001; parents; brother, Michael Kovach; and granddaughter, Ashley Paige Keith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
