Barbara Givens

Barbara E. Givens, 67, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Major, Kentucky on June 6, 1954 to parents, Elisha and Nancy (Gabbard) Bowling.

Barbara was a graduate of Owsley County High School and later worked as an assembler for Worthington Plastics. She enjoyed playing Bingo, an occasional trip to the casino, watching Hallmark movies and loved spending time with her family and close friends.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Tina (Kevin) Matthews; grandson, Nathaniel Warmoth; brothers, Roy Bowling & Andy Bowling; sister, Sarah Goodman; special niece, Donna Cope, many other nieces & nephews; and special friends, Lula Blair & Donna Beltz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Givens; parents; sisters, Mona McDaniel, Dosha Bowling, Mary Belle Keller & Lola Thomas; and brothers, Ronnie Bowling, Bobby Bryant, Paul Bowling & William Bryant.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
