Barbara J. Tabor

Barbara J. Tabor, 78, of Franklin Township, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 22, 1945 to parents, Charles and Margaret Lucille (Gilley Hedgepath.

Barbara had worked as a cashier for Pence's Supermarket. She always had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, bowling, playing softball and in her youth she was a professional roller skater.  Most of all she enjoyed her family and attending her kids activities.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, James C. Tabor; sons, James R. (Diana) Tabor & Ken Tabor; daughter, Sandy (Terry) Carrier-Wendt; two grandchildren, Abbie Tabor & Russell Tabor; and nieces, Vicki Bell-Thomas & Debbie Strassburger.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Tabor; parents; and sisters, Judy Bell & Carol Sue McKinney.

Funeral Service will be Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Tom Mellott officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
