Bernard "Bernie" R. Grueser

Bernard R. “Bernie” Grueser, 86, of Trenton, died Friday, November 9, 2018, at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Pomeroy, Ohio on October 6, 1932 to parents Frank X. and Mae (Evans) Grueser.

Bernie worked for the Brick Layer Union. He enjoyed taking his canoe to Rush Run Lake to fish, taking along his radio so he could listen to the Reds games. He also enjoyed making homemade wine.

Mr. Grueser is survived by his wife, Donna J. (Stanley) Grueser; children, Jenny (James) Stewart, Randy (Ginny) Grueser & Cathy (Dudley) Fezell; grandchildren, Jessica Raver, Jacob Grueser, Brian (Maria) Fezell, Mackenzie (Cole) Couch & Avery Stewart; and great grandchildren, Ethan Ingalls & Brady Fezell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alfred & Gerald Grueser; and sister, Gertrude Finlaw.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 311 North Miami St., Trenton with Pastor Jodi Keith officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
