Bernard E. Cox

Bernard E. "Bernie" Cox, 68, of Middletown, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnati on April 14, 1943 to parents Isaiah and Goldie (Landrum) Cox.

Bernie worked as a master research technician for Armco (AK) Steel for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Barbara (Koerner) Cox; children, David (Leslie) Cox, Kenneth Cox, Jodi Hodge & Phil Cox; brother, Kelvin (Linda) Cox; sister, Norma (Jack) Reese; grandchildren, Frank, Anna, Desirea, Barbara, Hayden, Alice, Dorothy & Lauren; and a great granddaughter, Miley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.
