Bernice L. Darney

Bernice L. Darney, "Bernie" to her friends, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 in Indianapolis, Indiana after an extended illness, at the age of 74.

Though well traveled, states and international, she had spent the last five years in Indianapolis but still considered Middletown home. She had worked as a travel agent and also for First National Bank.

Mrs. Darney is survived by her four children, Brian (Coleda) Darney of Derby, Kansas, John (Caroline) Darney of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Sara (Jeff) Stewart of Middletown, and Matthew (Joni) Darney of Avon, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Jackie, Chrissy, Crystal, Kegan, Ryan, Meghan, Ashley, Brittney, and Jacob; one great grandchild, Raven; and many nieces & nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darney in 1999; her parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Woodside Cemetery Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Dave Moreland officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
