Bernice Spicer, 84, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2006, at Birchwood Care Center in Hamilton. She was born in Altro, Kentucky on January 15, 1922 to parents Alex and Bertha (Parker) Turner.
Bernice was employed in the Trenton school system as a cook for many years. Her ministry was loving people and helping do services at Barbara Park Nursing Home, which she did for over 25 years.
Mrs. Spicer is survived by her husband, Lloyd Spicer of Trenton; two daughters, Brenda (Bill) Thornberry of Springfield and Rhonda (Tim) Wirtley of Trenton; four grandchildren, Brett Thornberry, Carlisa Parker, Taryn Russo, and Evan Wirtley; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Fox, Geneva Harold, and Mary Crabtree; and three brothers, Silas Turner, Hobert Turner, and Everett Turner.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Pastor Frank Curtis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
