Bertha C. Murphy

Bertha C. Murphy, 99, of Middletown, died Thursday, September 25, 2014, at The Inn at Renaissance Village. She was born in Lebanon on March 3, 1915 to parents Hiram and Edna Mae (Tilman) Slanker.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her son, John C. Murphy; daughters, Carolyn Ann (Richard) Bradfield, Nancy Renee (Dean) Phillips & Charlotte Marie (RE) Collins; special nephew, Donald (Margie) Slanker; four grandchildren, Carleen Turner, Kelly Hopkins, Stacey Dull & Greg Collins; and eight great grandchildren, Brent, Caroline & Brock Turner, Natalie, Monica & Abigail Hopkins, and Lauren & Ryan Dull.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Murphy; parents; brothers, Harold & John Slanker; and grandson, Scott Bradfield.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Woodhill Cemetery.
