Bessie Combs

Bessie Combs, 92, of Middletown, Ohio, died on June 15, 2008, at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus. She was born in Denniston, Kentucky on December 2, 1915 to parents John and Louellen (Carter) Powers.

Mrs. Combs worked for over twenty years in alterations for J.C. Penny.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Andrew Combs, daughter, Nancy Ballard, three brothers, Reece, Fred and Clay Powers, and sister, Susan Thompson.

She is survived by one daughter: Wanda (Elmer) Faulkner; two sons: Jerry (Ilse) Combs, Donald (Donna) Combs; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren and son-in-law Mitchell Ballard.

Funeral Service will be held at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 with Roger Goff officiating. Visitation will be one hour before from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
