Bette Hope Petrocy, 91, of Monroe, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown on January 25, 1925 to parents Tip and Dessie (Spencer) Hampton.
Bette graduated from Middletown High School and worked as a secretary for Middletown City Schools, retiring in 1983. She volunteered at Middletown Regional Hospital for over 40 years, participated in and chaired numerous fundraisers for the hospital including the High Fever Follies and Charity Ball, and was a member of the Southwestern Ohio Hospital Auxiliaries Board. She served as president of the Middletown Symphony Women and was also involved in the Sorg Opera, Middfest, and Lyric Theater.
Mrs. Petrocy is survived by her son, Chris (Sara) Petrocy of Blue Ash and granddaughters, Amy & Emily.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Albert "Bob" Petrocy on November 6, 2014; and her parents.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mary H. Kittredge Chapel at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe with Chaplain Karen Fleming and Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the chapel. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
