Betty Ann Walden, 80, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at West Chester Hospital. She was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 16, 1937 the daughter of Volney P. and Kathryn L. (Rose) Malott. She was united in marriage to Keith Walden on February 24, 1987 in Maui, HI.
Betty was a loving mother, homemaker and tailor. She was an excellent cook, sports fan and in her younger years an excellent golfer and gardener.
Mrs. Walden is survived by her husband of nearly 31 years, Keith Walden; a blended family consisting of daughters, Linda (Scott) Brandenburg of Franklin & Lois (Kris) Laubach of Middletown and step children, Dale (Marcy) Walden & Robert (Julie) Walden, both of Arvada, CO, Cindy Schiedt of Northglenn, CO, Mindy (Steve) Bach of Coleridge, NE & Kim Walden (Richard Brown) of St. Michael, MN; 15 loving grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Volney & step mother Stella Malott; mother, Kathryn Cassidy; brother, Robert "Bob" Malott; and two sisters, Verna Mae Harbottle & Dorothy Worthington.
A Celebration Memorial will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the American Legion Hall, 35 N. Main Street, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
