Betty G. Scott

Betty G. Scott, 98, formerly of York and Butler PA, died Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant.  She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on May 19, 1919 to parents Hubert J and Frances (Riddle) Goodrich M.D.

Betty was a teacher in the Butler, PA school district.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, enjoyed playing bridge and was member of the P.E.O Sorority and Chi Omega Sorority at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, J. Ray (Linda) Scott and daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Douthett and grandchildren, Scott (Sonia) Douthett, Tracee (Sigmund) Wojtkowski, Jody (Brad) Heflin, Wendy Scott and great grandchildren, Shelby, Slade, Christopher, Joseph, Jena and Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph C. Scott and brother, William Goodrich.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 120 S. Broad Street, Middletown with Reverend John Wagner officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm at the church.  Graveside Committal Service will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in McKees Rocks, PA on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
