Betty J. Lakes

Betty J. Lakes, 64, of Camden, died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Trenton on February 15, 1938 to parents Joseph Chester and Anna (McGuire) Adams.

Betty is survived by her husband Bennie L. Lakes of Camden; daughters Debbie (Charlie) Nichols of Orman Beach, FL., Donna (Clayton) Oaks, and Joanne Colwell both of Camden; stepdaughters Sandra (James) Cain of Indiana, Paula Laycock, and Pamela (Darrel) Williams, both of Hamilton; stepsons Bennie E. Lakes of Hamilton, and Douglas (Karen) Lakes of Camden; 13 grandchildren; an uncle Harry McGuire, and special family friend, Dennis Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Shirley Adams.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, with Rev. Bill Philips officiating. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
