Betty J. Roof

Betty J. (Stover) Roof, 80, of Germantown, died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Close To Home in Middletown. She was born in Middletown on April 26, 1927 to parents Roy and Ruth (Watkins) Stover.

Mrs. Roof worked as a secretary for Armco Steel Corp., retiring in 1952.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, John E. Roof; daughter, Alice Lynn Roof of Grove City; son, John R. (Terri) Roof of Germantown; brother, Bill Stover of Oregon; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Jim) Creech of Punta Gorda, FL; three granddaughters, Amanda (Jesse) Reed, Brittany Roof, and Cassidy Roof; and great granddaughter, Delaney Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ruth Stuard and Alice Longman.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 12:00 NOON at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Chaplain Tim Woodward officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 AM – 12:00 NOON. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
