Betty Lou Borneman

Betty Lou (Allison) “Lou” Borneman, passed away February 18, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant in Monroe, Ohio. She was born November 14, 1928 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to Sara (Defibaugh) and Wayne Allison.

Lou grew up in Wilkinsburg, PA and graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1946. She worked up to the level of executive secretary at the National Supply Company in Pittsburgh, PA where she met the love of her life, Howard Borneman. Lou married Howard on November 15, 1952 and the couple enjoyed nearly 51 years of happy, committed marriage before Howard's passing in 2003.

Lou was a loving, gentle person who provided a wonderful home for her family. She is survived by her four children, Karen Borneman (Jim Young), Kurt Borneman (Deanna), Karyl LaRose (Joe) and Karl Borneman (Janine) and grandchildren, Ben LaRose, Sara Borneman, Drew Borneman and Max Borneman.

Lou has been an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Middletown, Ohio since moving to the area in 1962. Frequently people who have known Lou, or even had casual contact with her, would remark on her sweet, sincere nature. She will be missed by all relatives and friends.

A private ceremony will be held Friday, February 23. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Salvation Army, 1914 First Ave., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
