Betty M. Terhune, 80, of Lebanon, Ohio, died on April 29, 2003, at Otterbein Retirement Community. She was born in Warsaw, Indiana on October 6, 1922 to parents Burr N. and Nelle (Lambert) Munson.
Betty received her graduate and masters degree from George Washington University. She worked as a political researcher/analyst for OSS and the US State Department. She was an instructor at Miami University Middletown Campus and certified gemologist. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Promises Group, and League of Women Voters.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas A. Terhune, and brother, William B. Munson.
She is survived by her husband Charles P. Terhune II; two sons: Charles P. (Mary Ann) Terhune, Jr. of Middletown, and William R. (Stacy) Terhune of Muncie, IN; one sister: Jo (Jay) Trauring of Columbus; one brother: Jack R. (Sherry) Munson of Muncie, IN; sister-in-law, Janet Munson of Muncie, IN; grandsons, Charles P. Terhune IVand John L. Terhune; and granddaughter, Ann M. Terhune.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 5, 2003 at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 120 S. Broad St., Middletown, with Rev. David Chivington officiating. The family will receive friends in the parlor of the church following the service.
