Bill Daley

William P. "Bill" Daley, 57, of Middletown, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Hamilton on October 15, 1951 to parents Robert and Mabel (Strapak) Daley.

Bill worked in maintenance for AK Steel, retiring in 2006 after 33 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Knights of Columbus and Middletown Jaycees. Bill was an avid golfer and was co-founder of MAGA, ran the New York City Marathon in 1991 and was a member of Middletown Street Striders.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Kennedy) Daley; sons, Eric (Karin) Daley, Nicklaus Daley and Keeton Daley; daughter, Michelle (Rich) Walton; brothers, Steve (Virginia) Daley, Dennis (Becky) Daley, Brian (Judy) Daley and Mike Daley; sisters, Karen (Mike) Mitsoff and Mary (Tony) Black; and nine grandchildren, Pierce Daley, Cassidy Daley, Blake Daley, Cole Walton, Miles Walton, Julia Walton, Paige Ross, Gage Kennedy and Aiden Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Daley; and sister, Kathy Daley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown.
