Billie Ballard Turner, 87, of Middletown, died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. She was born in Fayette, Missouri on June 6, 1922 to parents Charles and Dorothy (Crews) Basye.

Mrs. Turner worked as an accounting clerk for Mead Paper Co. for twenty years. Billie was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her daughter, Dorothy "Dot"(Gary) Blankenship; sons, Thomas (Donna) Ballard; Benjamin (Debbie) Ballard, & Bob ( Lavonne) Lewis; stepdaughter, Gayle Balint; twin sister, Betty Jane Smythe; brother, Dr. Charles Benjamin Basye; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special friends, Larry & Hazel White & family and many nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Thomas J. Ballard and Hamilton B. Turner; stepson, Roy Turner; brother, George Basye.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 10:30 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
