Brenda K. Ayres

Brenda Kay Ayres, 65, of Middletown, was delivered into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 after 12 years of battling cancer.  She was born in Middletown on September 27, 1952 to parents Garland and Phyllis (Zimmerman) Sorrell.

Brenda graduated from Madison High School in 1970 and received a Bachelor of Business degree from Miami University.  She worked in the banking industry for 35 years.  Brenda loved and looked after her family, even as her health declined.  She loved the Lord and knew she would be healed upon crossing over.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Rick Ayres; son, Tim (Renae) Ayres; mother, Phyllis Ober; brothers, Ronald (Debra) Sorrell & Donald (Jackie) Sorrell; five grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, Izaak, Azden & Izabella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special girlfriend, Debbie Altick. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Tom "Butch" Sorrell; and niece, Jessica Sorrell.

The family wishes to extend special gratitude to Hospice Care of Middletown for their unparalleled love, care and support.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at University Baptist Church, 4125 Riverview Ave., Middletown with Pastor Glenn LaRue officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the church.  Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
