Bruce D. Sant

Bruce D. Sant, 67, of Middletown, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his home. He was born in Middletown on September 19, 1950 to parents Robert T. and Lea A. (Cline) Sant.

Bruce worked with the railroad for AK Steel for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam. He loved the outdoors, hiking & fishing and had coached Select Soccer. Bruce enjoyed time with his family, high school friends and a great group that he spent time with every fall since 1987 at the Ohio Power Company camping.

Mr. Sant is survived by his wife, Susan M. (Medley) Sant; son, Samuel R. (Sara) Sant; daughter, Kerry M. (Chad) Fuller; brother, Thomas R. (Joan) Sant; sister, Elizabeth G. (Tom) Gomia; and grandchildren, Callan Robert Sant, Samuel Everett Fuller & Ryker Bruce Sant.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hurlburt III, his staff and Hospice Care of Middletown for their sincere care, kindness and support with a special thank you to Sarah See for showing such compassion, grace and dignity.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Reverend John Dick officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
