Buell Wilhoit

Buell Wilhoit, 85, of Middletown died Sunday, May 30, 2010 after battling cancer for twelve years. He was born January 15, 1925 in Bath County, Kentucky. His parents, Clint and Bessie (Wells) Wilhoit, are deceased. He had been retired from Jefferson-Smurfit for several years.

Mr. Wilhoit was preceded in death by two brothers, James Wilhoit and Espie Wilhoit; and three sisters, Elva Riley, Irene Crouch and Edna Hancock.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Bailey Wilhoit; daughter, Darlene (David) Richey of Monroe; son, Marlin Wayne (Vicki) Wilhoit of Middletown; grandsons, Brian Roy Wilhoit (girlfriend, Sommer Viars) of Middletown, Jacob Zachary (Tiffany) Sorrrell of Columbus and Phillip Everett Sorrell of Monroe; great-grandsons, Wyatt and Braiden Wilhoit of Middletown and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke, Kim and staff for their care. They would also like to thank Hospice of Middletown.

Funeral services held will be Thursday, June 3 at 2:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown with Pastor Fred Napier of World Harvest Church of God of Trenton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
