Carl E. “Tebby” Heaberlin, CTC USN (Retired), 81, of Trenton, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at his residence. He was born in Prichard, West Virginia on March 16, 1926 to parents Carl W. and Emily (Morrow) Heaberlin.
Carl was a retired Navy veteran, serving with the Security Group.
Mr. Heaberlin is survived by his wife, Mildred Marie (Lovins) Heaberlin; one daughter, Guellen (Lonzo) Hunley of Seymour, TN; two sons, Michael Keith Heaberlin of Hamilton and Kevin Heaberlin of Franklin; one sister, Wanda Ray of Point Pleasant, WV; three grandchildren, D.J. Bokeno, Faydra Heaberlin, and Alex Heaberlin; and one great grandchild, Aidan DeFrates.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jay Heaberlin and Joe Heaberlin; sisters, Lillian Litteral and Jean Burks; daughter-in-law, Tessie Heaberlin; and grandson, Kevin Heaberlin Jr..
Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 20, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Reverend Paul Mills officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Services will also be held at Smith Memorial Methodist Chapel, Prichard, West Virginia, on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Danny Heaberlin officiating, visitation prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler Davis Cemetery in Prichard, West Virginia.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420-1885 – OR – to the Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N. Randolph St., Suite 225, Arlington, Virginia, 22203-1977.
