Carl Edward Baker, 90, of Trenton, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Carlisle on October 25, 1923 to parents Thomas Henry and Sarah (Rogers) Baker.
Carl had worked as the scheduler in the press section at Armco Steel Corporation. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Lincoln Lodge F & AM #693 and was a 25 year member of the Trenton volunteer fire department.
Mr. Baker is survived by his daughter, Kathy Castator; sons, Thomas (Jeannie) Baker, Tony (Lee Anne) Baker & Tim (Jennifer) Baker; sister, Ruth Maikel; six grandchildren, Carla Dyer, Chrissy Hudson, Laura Wells, Joel Baker, Sarah Castator, Jeffrey Baker & Tori Baker; five great grandchildren, Zachary Cobern, Caleb Wells, Joshua Wells, Bailee Crawford & Katelyn Wells; and one great great grandson, Kamdyn Cobern. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Baker and parents.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Atrium Medical Center for their professional and caring services.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Mr. Mike Gabbard officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at New Jersey Presbyterian Cemetery in Carlisle.
