Carl L. Brech, Jr., 76, of Middletown, died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Liberty of Middletown. He was born in Cincinnati on July 31, 1936 to parents Carl L. and Thelma (Murhline) Brech Sr.
Carl was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 28 years, retiring in 1995. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After retirement Carl loved to travel.
Mr. Brech is survived by his sons, Kurt Brech, Carl Brech III, Keith Brech & Kenny Brech; daughters, Angela (Mike) Lynch, Deborah (Terry) South, Theresa Givens & Pamela South; grandchildren, Rachel Rosenacker, Shannon (Adam) Plummer, Laura South, Matthew South, Rebecca South, Heather Brech, Keagan Brech, Jacob Brech, Joshua Givens, Stephen Deck, B.J. South, Justin South, Zachery South & Shauna Brech; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kevin Brech.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:30 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Franklin VFW Post 7596 Honor Guard.
