Carol Jeanne Snyder, 94, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the home of her daughter. She was born in Warren County, Ohio on January 31, 1923 to parents Arthur and Clara (Slye) Augspurger.
After raising three children, Jeanne worked as a secretary to the principal at Lemon-Monroe High School for 21 years, retiring in 1983. After retiring from the school she worked at Monroe Pharmacy until 1997. Jeanne was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her sister, Doris Eggleston of Sidney; son, Jerry A. (Cindy) Snyder of Tipp City; daughters, Melanie K. (John) Flower & Bobbie J. (Gary) Allen, both of Monroe. Also surviving her are five grandchildren, Todd (Sherri) Payne of Springboro, Tonya (Scott) Kinderdine of Monroe, Kevin Flower of Monroe, Stacey Snyder of Indianapolis & Craig Snyder of Troy; and three great grandchildren, Morgan Deem, Dakota Deem & Alliah Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Snyder; the Deem quadruplets & Jenny Snyder.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Queen City Hospice for their loving care in her last few months.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home,3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Pastor Joel Harbarger officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Queen City Hospice, 8250 Kenwood Crossing Way, Suite 200, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236 – OR - Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Ave., Monroe, OH 45050.
