Carolyn A. Martin, 86, of Trenton, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wayland, Kentucky on July 22, 1936 to parents, Alvin and Geneva (Turner) Huston.
Carolyn was a woman of strong faith always being an example of strong character to her daughters and their growing families. She dedicated her time to making a loving home for her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them, especially Christmas cookies. Carolyn, along with her husband Tom, loved horses and was very involved in harness racing. She also enjoyed bowling. Carolyn loved flowers, gardening and spending time at the family cabin in Spring City, Tennessee. She enjoyed observing birds and nature in general.
Carolyn was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Menzer & Linda "Babe" (Bill Schlenk) Martin; sister and best friend, Dora (Ron) Birch, brother, John Huston; and sister, Sue Huston; six grandchildren, Sheryl Vincent, Roger (Sheena) Haller Jr., Kristen (Bobby) Adams, Jessica (Nathan) Hale, Ashley Haller & Tiffany (Kyle) Terzak; and ten great grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Logan, Bailey, Luke, Alleigh, Jack, Jackson, Audrey & Hollis; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death six days prior by her beloved husband of 67 years, Thomas E. Martin; an infant son, Thomas Jeffrey Martin; her parents; and half-brother, Bill Logan.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Terry Ball officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery.
