Carolyn Cornell

Carolyn M. Cornell, 83, formerly of Middletown Ohio, passed away on October 1, 2024, at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.

She was born on December 12, 1940, in Dresden, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Maher Reeves and a graduate of Jefferson High School. 

She is survived by her son, Brian (Andrea Aguirre Caudell) Cornell of Liberty Township OH; granddaughters, Cara (David) Caldwell of New Carlisle, OH and Kara (Stephen Brown) Caudell of West Chester, OH; and great grandson, Abel Caldwell of New Carlisle, OH. 

Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Gordon "Gene" Cornell.

Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls, driving her Corvette, and doing various arts & crafts. She also enjoyed betting her great grandson on the OSU football games. Really, she just liked giving him a dollar.

Visitation will be Friday October 4, 2024 from 12:00 noon till 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Burial service will be held in the Woodside Cemetery (section 21) following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American (Skin) Cancer Society in memory of Carolyn Cornell.
