Catharine Mary Broadstone

Catharine Mary (Gudeles) Broadstone, 91, of Middletown, formerly of Brookville, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Dayton on June 1, 1918 to parents Zigmund J. and Catharine (Ambrose) Gudeles.

Mrs. Broadstone is survived by her children, James Marion Broadstone, Joan Osborn VanGunten, Dr. Mary Ellen Broadstone Gaeke, Judith Anderson, Susan Jorfi and Thomas Broadstone; sister, Rita Gysin; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Broadstone in 1998; her parents; grandson, Jonathan Richard Gaeke; and sisters, Helen Knapp and Mary Catharine Eismann.

The family wished to extend special thanks to Catharine's caregivers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father George Klein as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
