Catherine J. Rothfuss

Catherine J. Rothfuss, 88, of Middletown, died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at McKnight Terrace. She was born in Hamilton, on April 12, 1917 to parents John Stanley and Katherine (Shellhouse) Lewis.

Catherine graduated from Hamilton High School in 1934. She worked as a secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 10 years and was a member of Monroe Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rothfuss is survived by three sons, Edwin Lewis (Marjorie) Rothfuss of Montana, John (Pat) Rothfuss of Liberty Township, and Joel (Elizabeth) Rothfuss of Miami, FL; nine grandchildren, Robin, Michele, Susan, Sally, Peter, Mark, Nikki, Kelly, & Don; and two great grandchildren, Tara & Scott Wolfe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Rothfuss in 1987; her parents; brothers, John George Lewis, Stanley Luther Lewis, and David Franklin Lewis; and a sister, Virginia 'Dolly' Lindsay.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Lisa Ellison officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, prior to the service, from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420-1885.
