Catherine E. Murray

Catherine Murray, 81, of Trenton, died on November 20, 2023, at Majestic Care of Middletown. She was born on July 21, 1942, in England to Eric and Mary (Watson) Sillince.

She retired as treasurer for Talawanda School District.  Catherine loved to vacation and travel, especially on cruises, and enjoyed playing in casinos.  She was a member of the British Club and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Alison (Joseph) Layne; brother, Robert (Angela) Sillince; brother-in-law, Larry Page; grandchildren; Shannon Barker, Amanda (Matt Swisher) McGuire, Sean (Sarah) Barker, Zach (Kailah) Layne, Valerie (Anthony) Tygart; great grandchildren, Devin, Logan, Ethan, Charlotte, Juliette, Reyna, Cheyenne, with 2 more on the way, and many extended family members in England.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert C. Murray; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Richard Barker; and sister, Freda Page. 

Graveside Service will be Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum (section 21), 1401 S. Woodside Blvd, Middletown.
