Cb Smallwood

CB Smallwood, 84, of Monroe, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on August 13, 1929 to parents Edward and Oma (Wagers) Smallwood.

CB worked for Spring Grove Cemetery as a grounds caretaker for 18 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Smallwood is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Hausman) Smallwood; children, Phyllis Cucinotta, Carolyn Bowling, Tim Smallwood, Doug Smallwood, Anita White & Gary Stern; sisters, Nancy Lee Smith& Jewel Hoskins; grandchildren, Roger Gross, Brandon Whittymore, Joshua Smallwood, Christopher Bowling, Jason Bowling, Leisha Smallwood, Amanda Winkler, Deanna Shafer, Sara Bulmer, Emma Stern & Ben Stern; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Smallwood; parents; and brothers, Cecil, Eugene, Raleigh & Alva.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Rev. Travis Smalley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
